Who We Are

Alben Surveillance was built by two longtime friends — one from construction, one from surveillance — who saw the same issue from different sides. Theft, vandalism, disputes, and unanswered questions weren’t exceptions. They were expected outcomes of sites that simply didn’t have eyes on them when it mattered.

In the field, the issue wasn’t indifference — it was practicality. Traditional security relied on permanent power, trenching, or constant staffing, none of which fit active, changing environments. At the same time, surveillance technology itself was already effective — it just wasn’t deployable where it was needed.

Recent advances in solar power, autonomous operation, and cloud-based access changed that.

Alben Surveillance grew out of that shift: a low-cost, solar-powered, autonomous system designed to establish real on-site presence, deter problems before they happen, and document what actually occurs.

Ben Ricker

Co-Founder

Ben brings more than 20 years of experience in surveillance and security, with a focus on deterrence, monitoring, and real-world incident response. His career has centered on understanding what effective security looks like outside of ideal conditions — and how advances in autonomous systems, connectivity, and monitoring can translate proven security principles into practical, deployable solutions.

Ali Chini

Co-Founder

Engineer by trade, Ali brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction. Throughout his career, he witnessed firsthand how gaps in jobsite security and on-site presence led to real losses, disputes, and unanswered questions. His experience in the field shaped the practical perspective behind Alben Surveillance: security solutions must work where projects actually live — not just where infrastructure exists.
